The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Mohammadu Abubakar, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday in Minna, reports News Agency of Nigeria.
Abubakar, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, alleged that the suspects belonged to an eight-man gang responsible for armed robbery and the killing of a Police officer on November 15.
The said Police officer was allegedly murdered in his hotel room. The deceased was serving under the Borno State Command.
The bandits reportedly made away with items that included six plasma TV’s, one Andrioid Phone, a wristwatch, $1,600 and N31,000 cash.
The suspects have reportedly given statements, confessing to the crimes, while the case is still under investigation.
According to DSP Abubakar, the Nigeria Police Force is doing everything humanly possible to bring all those involved to book.
